Okay, another four days have passed, and the latest update is out.
I am down to a mere 54,837 years until I make my first million on Associated Content (down from 101,000 just 26 days ago!), and I expect to make my first $100 by April 3, 2013. This four-day reporting period shaved three months off that goal.
Now, here are the updated numbers…
Days since first publication: 26
Total Number of Articles: 38
Total Page views: 866
Average Daily page views: 33
Average Daily Earnings: .05
Thanks to Excel, I have easily determined that I am now at 546 publication days (Total number of articles * days each article has been published). It tracks how many days each article has been on Associated Content, and totals them for me. It tells me that each article has been seen, on average 1.6 times each day since publication.
Who cares?
Well, I do, and you should, if you want to publish on Associated Content.
It tells me that, currently, each article will be seen, on average, 584 times in a year, presuming that the article doesn’t get too old and fade into oblivion (although I suspect that this is exactly what will happen!)
If this number holds true, it means that each article, over a one year span, is worth about $.88. And that means that I have to write a hell of a lot more articles and/or work harder to increase readership!
More on that next time.
For now, I am not discouraged. I have been submitting articles to various categories, and the time span is still so short as to be statistically insignificant. I am still learning the ropes and wrapping my head around a change in writing style to increase page views.
As always, I am looking forward to the next update, and will provide the information as soon as I get it. In the meantime, feel free to share your experiences on page views, and whatever else you think is helpful!
